I left
Camrose after work Friday around 5pm and drove to
Cranbrook. I arrived around midnight and found a cheap motel. I left in the morning around 7am, and immediately gained an hour with the time change. At around noon, I was driving through
Pasco. I called Mike to find out where the guys would be sailing. The call was
Threemile Canyon! Wonderful, this is the most easterly sailing site on the river...I could be there in an hour.

Most of the guy's had arrived Friday (or earlier). They had had a decent day sailing Friday, but they all talked about how cold it was.
Threemile was
incredible. I was overpowered most of the time on my 4.2
Gaastra. Harold was on 3.7 and Mike on his 4.0. The waves were huge. My sailing was not comfortable - mostly just survival. I did get some very high jumps - even landed a few. Also working on wave rides, but am still not in Kent or
Andreas's league.
The crew this year so far:
Blaine, Harold, Kent, Jim C. Mike, Jim S, Brad, Andreas, Dave (
Andreas's Dad), and Greg (a non-sailing friend of Kent - He is a long distance runner, and is enjoying the hiking trails around the Hood), and Me (Ted).

Threemile Canyon is an interesting sailing site. There is a "reservoir" protected by a series of small islands. You sail out through relatively calm water to the main river where the real action
happens. Here
Blaine is
coming back to shore after a great session.

Jim S. A great session - a big smile!

Is he starting to loose his hair???

Harold - Sailed all day. He could hardly walk when he came off the water. Looked like a drunk!!
